Work at INSPIRD

INSPIRD Nutrition & Mental Health Counseling is a team of fat-positive, liberation-minded clinicians (dietitians and therapists) who are deeply committed to providing accessible and affirming eating disorders care using autonomy-centered, relational frameworks that best support our clients, our communities, and our clinicians to contribute to a more just world. We believe nutrition and mental health support should be an individualized, collaborative effort, where we strive to reduce the inherent power dynamic between clinician and client and hold each client’s lived/living experiences at the forefront of the support we provide. We start within, by prioritizing our clinicians’ well-being. We offer great benefits and perks to our clinicians, including:

  • 1099/independent contractor positions with a competitive, equitable 70/30 split (70% to the clinician, 30% to the organization to help cover below benefits)

  • Flexible, work-from-home schedule with freedom to build a caseload size that works best for you

  • Weekly group supervision with the INSPIRD team

  • Monthly group supervision with guest supervisors

  • Unlimited individual supervision with our senior supervisors

  • Continuing education opportunities with membership to EDRDPro or other CEU opportunities of your choice

  • Access to all educational materials, applications (including email, Zoom, and EMR), billing/credentialing support, and a consistent referral network

  • Accommodations for neurodivergent clinicians, including various charting options and executive functioning task support

  • Resources for financial planning, including paying quarterly taxes, retirement planning, etc.

  • If interested in discussing a W2 employee position, please let us know!

INSPIRD Nutrition and Mental Health Counseling recognizes the impact of systems of oppression on the development of eating disorders, and that in order to support our clients in finding true safety and well-being in their nourishment, their bodies, and in their lives, we need policy change, community care, and abolishment of oppressive systems to be truly well. We do this work with most of our clinicians holding social unearned privileges as cis, white, able-bodied, straight-sized women. This lack of diversity in clinician identities is reflected in both the eating disorders & dietetics spaces, which are largely made up of white women. We recognize that this is a large barrier to truly helpful & affirming care, as it is vital that the clinicians in this space reflect the identities of those who struggle with eating disorders and the folks we work with - people of all races, ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, body sizes, and lived experiences. In response to this, we find it crucial that our clinicians regularly receive clinical supervision from weight-inclusive practitioners who hold marginalized identities. We are actively committed to making our practice, as well as our local healthcare spaces, a safe and equitable place for all.

Folks who are queer, BIPOC, disabled, fat, and anyone who has experienced systemic oppression are encouraged to apply.
